to their 12th years leaving behind an impressive progeny upon which
to build. We welcome your enquiry for bulls and semen packages.
RAPALONG produces an annual line of 60 to 100 purebred
Mandalong Specials bulls for clients to inspect on farm
at their convenience. We do not conduct sales or auctions.

N.B. (P) has been the
RAPALONG flagship sire.
New Zealand breeders David and Julie Brown of Waipu, NZ, imported
semen to use extensively in their Mandalong Specials
herd. At 5 years of age Mandalong N.B. (P)
weighed 1300kg with an eye muscle area of 145 sq.cm. He has
been sashed Champion, Grand Champion & Supreme Champion
at numerous country shows as well as at the Canberra &
Sydney Royal shows.

N.B. (P) has surpassed all expectations. This
remarkable sire is producing poll calves with excellent muscle
expression and equally impressive growth rates. Exhibited
as a junior at Beef Expo 2000 and judged by Ken Rutherford
and his associate Ross McCamley, this young sire was
the class winner of the 12 -15 months class and went on to
be awarded Reserve Calf Champion.

of Junior Champion Bull and Grand Champion Male.

Sired
by Rapalong Spirit, at 14 months of age
at BEEF EXPO 2003, Rapalong X-Plosive
weighed 654kg, won his 12 to 15 months class and was sashed Reserve
Calf Champion Male by Queensland cattleman and Red Angus stud master,
Berry Reynolds.
This young sire was later sold to Glen Rock Station, Scone.

At 11 months of age and weighing 710kg, he was awarded the 9 and
under 12 month class winner, Calf Champion Male & Grand Champion
Male at BEEF EXPO 2003 by Queensland Red Angus stud master Berry
Reynolds.
He was subsequently sold to Glen Buddah Pty Ltd of St Auburns, Walcha.

Spirit is producing small birth weight calves.
This sire captured the attention of well known Australian judge
and stud master David Bondfield of the Palgrove Charolais Stud
who awarded Rapalong Spirit Senior Champion,
Grand Champion and Supreme Champion bull at the 1999 Canberra
Royal. He continued on to the 1999 Sydney Royal where he again
was sashed Senior Champion and Grand Champion before catching
the eye of renowned US cattleman Jim Leachman of Leachman Cattle
Co, Montana, who judged the 1999 Sydney Royal Show interbreed
championship. |
